This week to raise awareness of #mentalhealthawarenessweek we welcomed MIND Rochdale and District to the session. This year's theme is 'loneliness' and as part of the #JollyJosh moto we aim to enable families to connect with both their peers and supportive professionals, in order to help them to thrive.
Today, for our second session at our new centre, we welcomed 2 families. It was great to see both children enjoy the new #magiccarpet equipment, as you can see they became submerged in colour! Both families have been accessing Jolly Josh for a number of years and it is wonderful to see them returning to our #placetocallhome.
We are looking forward to welcoming more of our Jolly Josh friends next week and encourage new families to also contact us.
At present (until July) our Stay and Play sessions are only open on Tuesday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. You'll be warmly welcomed by Becky our Trustee, Becky is a teacher of children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, she has a wealth of experience, you'll also be supported by our welcoming team of volunteers!
Our families are encouraged to visit the session if your child has a complex medical need, Physical Disability or Profound and Multiple Learning Disability. You can self-refer or ask a professional to do this for you. For any queries simply drop us an email at Hello@JollyJosh.co.uk
We look forward to seeing yo0u next week...
