#Sayingthanks to Lucy, our Volunteer Bid Writer

On 19th May 2020 Team Jolly Josh put out a plea on our social media for a volunteer bid writer. The charity up until now has been managed and functioned solely by volunteers (with the exception of Emma, our volunteer play worker who gained a paid role from 2018 to February 2020). At Jolly Josh we are a small team of volunteers, proudly making a huge impact on those we support, however we needed an expert in this field...

And, along came Lucy!

"I volunteered to support Jolly Josh to try to help make a difference to young people and their families in Rochdale. The posts and articles show just how important Jolly Josh is for people - helping connect families and creating space for young people where there wasn't any before. It has been great to feel like I've been able to help towards the future of such a great initiative."

Jolly Josh wouldn’t function without our volunteers who support us. We have various volunteers supporting different aspects of our charity, taking into account personal interests and strengths, for example, we have volunteers who support our weekly sessions, volunteer bid writers, in addition, we have volunteers who support the planning and organisation of our fundraising events.
