What a lovely first session in our very own ‘place to call home!'
Today we welcomed 2 families to our Stay and Play session at the new centre, it was so lovely to see the children and families comfortable and at ease, especially as we had so many volunteers this week.
This week is Deaf awareness week. We were honoured to be joined by Lorenza from Eliza Says. Eliza was one our very first Jolly Josh friends when we started our Stay and Play sessions back in 2017! Eliza’s mum, Lorenza, is passionate about teaching sign language in a fun and creative way, she is qualified in British Sign Language and runs her own classes. Lorenza will be back soon to run another class at Jolly Josh, keep an eye out for our timetable (soon to be released)
We are looking forward to welcoming more of our Jolly Josh friends next week both new and old!
At present (until July) our Stay and Play sessions are only open on Tuesday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. You'll be warmly welcomed by Becky our Trustee, Becky is a teacher of children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, she has a wealth of experience, you'll also be supported by our welcoming team of volunteers!
Our families are encouraged to visit the session if your child has a complex medical need, Physical Disability or Profound and Multiple Learning Disability. You can self-refer or ask a professional to do this for you. For any queries simply drop us an email at Hello@JollyJosh.co.uk
We look forward to seeing yo0u next week...
