Family I

Our whole experience of being in lockdown as a family has been very difficult, and very testing at times with O* having very complex needs and a very significant curve in her spine, having all her surgeries she needs so desperately cancelled, and losing just about every little thing she loves to do most in life from swimming, massage, walks in the park, socialising with friends and family right down to even struggling to keep her comfortable just sitting. She’s been in lockdown for around 11 weeks now with her younger brothers, one who is also struggling with complete loss of his routine, having countless meltdowns and even losing his hair. The children haven’t been able to leave the house not even for exercise, like most others can, we need to keep O* safe. So it’s needless to say, the children haven’t been coping well at all! O* always has an infectious smile, even at her sickest she still smiles on through, we hadn’t seen that smile for quite some weeks though, that was until Wednesday when O*s amazing nurse Anna Oddy turned up for her home visit along with Asia Burrill to do a social distancing photo shoot! O*'s smile didn’t just return, her eyes and face lit up! She had the time of her life, along with her brothers, she smiled and giggled right through, and loved every single minute of it! We can’t thank you all enough especially Jolly Josh for arranging our amazing experience.
